Terms of Service

By accessing or using debriefus.com ("the Service", "we", "us", "our"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the Service.

These terms apply to all users, including companies and their representatives who access the Service on behalf of a business entity.

debriefus.com is an AI-powered hiring automation platform that enables companies to automate resume screening, interview scheduling, and AI-conducted video interviews. Access is granted by approval (see "Access and Approval" below).

We use third-party AI services (including Anthropic Claude and Vapi.ai) to power features. AI-generated outputs are for informational purposes and do not constitute professional HR, legal, or employment advice.

To use the Service, you must register an account using Google OAuth. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and all activity that occurs under your account.

One account per company is permitted. You must provide accurate and complete information during registration. You must be at least 18 years old to use the Service.

After you register via Google OAuth, your company account is created in a pending state. A debriefus.com administrator reviews and approves new companies before hiring features are unlocked, and assigns an interview quota that governs how many AI interviews your account may conduct.

The Service is currently provided free of charge. There is no subscription, and no payment is required to use the Service. We reserve the right to introduce paid plans in the future, in which case we will provide notice and updated terms before any charges apply.

We reserve the right to adjust quotas, or to suspend or revoke access, at our discretion — including where usage threatens the security, integrity, or fair use of the Service.

You may stop using the Service and request deletion of your account at any time by contacting hello@debriefus.com.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, with or without notice.

The Service is provided to approved companies at no cost. Because no payments are collected, no billing, refund, or cancellation-of-payment terms apply. If paid plans are introduced in the future, applicable payment and refund terms will be added to these Terms at that time.

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable employment or data protection laws
• Upload or process candidate data without proper consent from the candidates
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or extract the underlying AI models or algorithms
• Resell, sublicense, or provide the Service to third parties without our written consent
• Use the Service to discriminate against candidates based on protected characteristics
• Transmit spam, malware, or any malicious content

Your use of the Service is governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference.

You retain ownership of all data you submit to the Service, including job descriptions, candidate information, and interview content. By using the Service, you grant us a limited licence to process this data solely to provide the Service to you.

You are responsible for ensuring you have the legal right to process candidate personal data and that your use of the Service complies with applicable data protection laws (including GDPR where applicable).

The Service, including all software, AI models, designs, and content created by us, is owned by debriefus.com and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. These Terms do not grant you any rights to our intellectual property.

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR FREE OF HARMFUL COMPONENTS.

AI-generated hiring decisions, resume scores, and interview evaluations are automated outputs and should be reviewed by qualified HR professionals before being acted upon. We make no warranty regarding the accuracy, completeness, or suitability of AI outputs for any specific hiring decision.

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, DEBRIEFUS.COM SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR BUSINESS OPPORTUNITIES, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF OR INABILITY TO USE THE SERVICE.

OUR TOTAL CUMULATIVE LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ANY CLAIMS ARISING UNDER THESE TERMS SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID TO US IN THE THREE (3) MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless debriefus.com and its officers, directors, and employees from any claims, damages, liabilities, and expenses (including legal fees) arising from your use of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any third-party rights.

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in India.

We reserve the right to update these Terms at any time. We will notify you of material changes by email or by posting a notice on the Service. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.
